I hated that guy. Good.

Pete Seeger was an absolute living legend. I highly recommend watching that documentary about him (I think it was called The Power of Song). An amazing career and an amazing body of work, one with particular sentimental value to me as the child of two amateur folk singers who played his music quite a bit (both records and singing/playing).

I was singing that Cracker song about how there are too many folk singers (Teen Angst) and this happened. Sucks.

I had a similar childhood experience. My parents were big into folk music. We would go to the big music festival every year, and they would sell handmade toys. I had lots exposure to Seeger and others.

Supposedly Phillip Seymour Hoffman, but I won't believe until its something other than the NY Post announcing it.
