Basically, site (Read Write Web) does a news story about Facebook and AOL coming up with some sort of joint-login plan. Dumb people who want to log in to Facebook type "facebook login" into Google search, find this story as the first link, click it, and wonder why Facebook (which is actually the RWW site) has suddenly changed and leave comments about being pissed that they can't log in (which they are able to do by using their Facebook login info).

People always have such a fit when they change anything on facebook. It's awesome.

As to their confusion, it doesn't surprise me at all.

I admit my own life is affected when Google shakes up the top search results. But it never goes beyond a quiet mental "Yes. Angry Video Game Nerd is back at the top of the AVGN search. Take that, stupid AVGN stock indicator thing!"

If by "bullshit" you mean "fake", after a while a lot of the comments are, as people start making fun of the first couple pages of comment. Thinking about that earlier, I checked, and you can indeed get a link to google.com as the top result for searching for "google". Something just seems wrong about that to me.

I heard you like google so I typed google into the google search bar so you can look at google inside of google.

This has less impact than someone missing the toilet when shitting. It's funny like opening a book and a page falling out. The internet discussing that this happened is actually worse than it actually happening.

I do this alot, but I have an excuse: I have a keyword bookmark for google in firefox, and I'm so used to typing it that on other computers I'll type out 'google fix for [computer problem]' or whatever, and it submits that entire search term instead of just the chunk after google TO google

edit: the actual location bar and not that dinkly little search box, that thing is for homos
