Given that it's now less than a month away, I am a little bit surprised that THQ's Metro 2033 doesn't have a thread. There's been some discussion in the PC thread, but this is a multiplatform (360 as well) release that looks promising.
It's based on a book by Dmitri Glukhovsky and set in Russia after a nuclear bomb has hit Moscow, making it somewhat like a Fallout game. But it seems more action-oriented and less of an RPG. There are more details in IGN's preview.
Making it especially attractive to me is that it is the first game with built in support for DirectX 11, 3D Vision, and PhysX, as well as Steamworks. Of course, nVidia is going to have to get a DirectX 11 card out before that'll actually be possible, but that didn't stop these developers from doing the right thing. Attached are some of the DirectX11 screens.
