So what part of the gameplay is good? The part where you stand still and then use the movement analog stick (that isn't inverted) to aim your gun?
It already said "inverted". Unless there's a second inverted, which I know some ass backwards games have. My regular aim (when I'm not shooting) is inverted.
Doesn't matter anyway. Even if it was inverted, the controls (and the rest of the game) would still be horrible. When you aim, you use the left stick to aim because the A button is shoot. Why can't LT be "aim" so you can keep using the correct stick + RT to fire? Hell naw son let's be fucking incompetent!

I don't think he gets it, Zach.
This game wore on me and I got over it. I think I was up to chapter 4 and all the (accidental?) charm wore off.
Its ok for what it is, but honestly, you can watch all the weird cutscenes n shit on the 'net and not suffer through the game's blah gameplay.
Also, go fishing and get the "good" stuff ;)
Any place that has them strung together nicely (as least in parts and not 50?) I want to watch.
BTW, it is one of those 'double' axis things where you have to change the regular look and the 'aim' look...why games do this, I know not.
Not anyplace I have seen. Giant Bomb is playing this so you don't have to, but its an endurance run of the game actually being played in real time. Sometimes they're funny, but they HATE the game.
Youtube has some vids as well, but not nicely strung together.
So, for the latest episode of WARNING! A Huge Podcast, we did an email interview with the director of the game, SWERY. Then, in a quite surprising move, we got Jeff Kramer - the voice actor for DP's main character Francis York Morgan - to read and record all of SWERY's answers.

I think the game still has pretty terrible controls, and there are other gameplay-related elements that shouldn't have been like they were, but in this end this is really an awesome little game; its worst moments never end up ruining its best.
It would have been really hard to justify the $80 original Japanese price tag, but for $20 it's something people should really experience.
Single player GOTY 2010. For real.
