There isn't a rational explanation for it. At the very least with transgendered people, you can make arguments. Like how we all start out the same before gender is decided in the womb. Or We all share an X chromosome, boy or girl, so a trans person always shares 50% with their desired gender. And recent studies have shown that mtf trans-women share certain brain similarities with ciswomen that gay and straight cismen do not share with ciswomen.
