SEGA Celebrates the 15th Anniversary of the 32X

The 32X may be poop but it did have great versions of Space Harrier and After Burner which for me was pretty much all I needed. This was pre-Saturn and pc emulation for me so I was a happy guy.

I liked Tempo and HATED the saturn sequel. Knuckles Chaotix had good music (and nothing else). Virtua Racing 32X was pretty good and Kolibri was kinda neat. The 32X NBA Jam was also the best version at the time with the scaling characters. I remember selling that ultra shitty Spiderman: Web of Fire for pretty good money. (I think to someone here but I can't remember).

I'm the resident 32X whore here (I have every domestic-release game for the system), but even I'm not going to celebrate the system's anniversary.

I'm enjoying the Sonic & Sega racing game on PS3. Sega comes through on occasion.

This is their comeback year.

Bayonetta, which they didn't develop, AvP, which they didn't develop, Yakuza 3, which they butchered, a kart racer, which had an awful framerate or no online, and Valkyria Chroncles 2, which they ruined by putting it on PSP, make a "comeback year."

Bayonetta, Aliens vs Predator, Yakuza 3, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll, Vancouver 2010, Phantasy Star Ø, Napoleon: Total War, Resonance of Fate, Infinite Space, Tournament of Legends, Alpha Protocol, Afterburner Climax, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Iron Man 2, Aliens Colonial Marines, Vanquish, a possibility of Yakuza 4, and many more titles surely to be announced at E3.

If this doesn't constitute a comeback year then I don't know what does!

Way to list several 2011 games in there. And when you have to dip into XBLA/PSN games, it's not comeback year. I don't care how good they are for XBLA/PSN games.

You're like the Sega version of SpoDaddy. Is there a program I can buy to pad my lists automatically like you guys?

You should care in the case of After Burner Climax. Downloadable or not, it's going to rule unless they somehow botch the ports. But fuck Sega for giving Sonic 4 to Dimps.

I do think Sega is going to have a very solid year as a publisher (Bayonetta and Sonic Racing are awesome, and others have potential) but for in-house development, I can't picture them remotely comparing to their glory days.

I'm not knocking ABC. I'm just saying that if a "major" third party can't provide a solid retail lineup, it sure as hell isn't their "comeback year."

edit: And, for the record, there are not many people on this board who would wish AGES' claims were true more than me. But they aren't.
