I disagree. I think the first game's interface suffered for NWN roots. It's definitely being changed to be more console-friendly, but this is a game that actually needed it.

Same for the combat. It's being console-fied but the old school clicky combat was never very good to begin with.

I would've really liked a console version of Witcher.

Doing a quick internets search turned up some people that made Xpadder profiles for Witcher, I'll probably try the 360 one soon.

The developers have said that they are doing it for PC first and foremost, so I highly doubt there will be any interface issues that are the result of planned consolization and not just mistakes in their own right. As for where to buy it, I'd say GOG.com. DRM-free, same price as everywhere else, and you get a free RPG too. (I'd recommend either Gothic 2 or Divine Divinity)

I have those games already! And Steamcloud/achivement stuff on Steam! But I love GOG too and the DRM-free release is just so consumer-friendly I want to give them all of my money CAN'T DECIDE

As pretty average as I thought the first one was my first playthrough, I'm really looking forward to this one.

I seem to recall hearing that the GoG version would be an exception to GoG's no-DRM policy. Am I wrong on this?

Steamcloud might mean a sale for me. I don't normally care that much, but on an RPG, knowing I'll have my saves forever is super awesome.

You know, if you put it up on one site without DRM, is there really a point to putting DRM on any other version? You've already resigned to Day Zero piracy.

True but there is zero day piracy for most games. Shoot..Crysis 2 (albeit a beta version), Bulletstorm..etc..are already out there. Pirates will pirate and I hope their pc's blow up and melt their balls. Hopefully those with genuine interest in the game will pay for it.

As far as I know, the other DD sites are also DRM-free. Only Steam has it (and only the usual Steam DRM) because of the Steamworks stuff.
