I'm with buttcheeks on this one. The idea of "by doing what he wanted he just brought it on himself" is really abhorrent. People should be able to do what they want (as long as they are not harming someone else). Of course, high school and what not is a little different. But nevertheless, this kid was evidently able to do it in Indiana and Indiana ain't West Hollywood or Greenwich Village. So I dunno.

I'll pay them to poison the water supply on their way out of town.

The only thing I have trouble with is what he's asking money for. If he was asking for money so he can bring a suit against the school or to raise transgender awareness or whatever, I'd be down to donate something. But asking for money so he can run away is not something I can support. I do wish him the best of luck, though.

Should he be allowed to to do any/all of the stuff he's doing? Yes. Clearly. Does that school/school district/town/county/state suck a fat one for what they're doing to him? Yes. Clearly.

But this issue is a whole lot more like me being a huge stoner and moving to Seattle where I could more readily pursue my stonerly goals in a hassle free environment than anything relating to black people, slavery or real life oppression. Would anybody here have helped pay for my move from Idaho to Washington because I didn't like Idaho's draconian approach to marijuana?

If this kid had any balls at all he'd either stand and fight or hop a freight train and Natty Gann it out of there on his own. This donation business is CORNY. I had a job and didn't live with my parents when I was 16...

However, I do want to say that butcheeks is a standup guy for putting his money where his mouth is. We may disagree on certain facets of this issue but I always respect a person who steps up.

It's time to get some trench coats and a few semi-automatics. That's the only way to get shit changed.
