It's by Beenox. This game can fuck off, the series sucked after Ultimate.
Because game developers get into the business to shit whatever out while they soak up the glamourous lifestyle.
The very fact that it's by some dev that was the whipping boy for whatever quick & dirty franchise installment their corporate overlord needed milked is potentially a good thing. It's their do-or-die time, they fail and they're either cast back to the drudgery of Guitar Hero: Natalie Imbruglia, or out of a job entirely. That's gotta be a fairly big motivator, even though the odds are grossly against them with Activision's management track record.
I like the premise. Comic games need more goofy crossovers.
Gee, y'think the two spider men are gonna start by fighting it out and then come together to fight some larger threat? BLECH.
If they didn't, the game would have to be called Shattered Expectations.
I hope the remaining dimensions are 2099 and 1602, but Mangaverse would be an acceptable substitute for either. Marvel Zombies would be great, but that would pretty much require an M rating, which you know they're not gonna go for. Plus Zombie Spidey wouldn't be interested in working together to fix the dimensional-whatever-problem, he'd just eat the others.
Then again, considering I'd never heard of a Marvel noir universe before this, the remaining dimensions might be just as obscure. :/
And of course there's the high likelihood that as cool as the premise is, the underlying gameplay will be dogshit.
Only if Manga Spider-man summons his zord, or whatever it's called.
Spider-Ham pls
How about Turkish Spider-Man?
And of course, the original Manga Spider-Man as well.

And just like that, my interest in this game withered to nothing. As someone said in the comments on that article,Quote:
The gameplay I saw was prefaced by the revelation that, unlike the past several console Spider-Man games, this one won't feature large sandbox-style environments in which players can forge their own paths, take on side missions and so on. Rather, the game is level-based, with each being scripted so as to steer clear of what its developer, Beenox, felt was a lot of "filler" in the past titles.
Just because they've failed to implement the Spider-Man 2 formula properly the last few times is no reason to revert to a clearly inferior formula that at a fundamental level fails to capture the most appealing aspect of the character. :td:Quote:
once Spidey goes open world, you can't trap him in a box again
Thats what people want, TO SWING AROUND A CITY
Neversoft's original Spiderman game on PSX/DC was better than Spiderman 2 easy. There was so much boring shit in Spiderman 2 that people would be slamming it to this day if not for the cool swinging mechanics. If you want a game like that, by Prototype. It's awful, but you get what you deserve.
Aaron Chance is distressingly correct! Spider-Man 2 = Great City (with nothing to do but swing), Terrible Kombat, and Bland Horseshit!
PSX Spidey was alright. Better Spider-Man games: Genesis, Arcade, Capcom.
and atari 2600.
MY BALLOON
Spider-man VS The Kingpin for Sega CD is still my favorite Spidey game
The only reason to play Spider-Man 2 was for the time trials, but those alone were better than anything in any other Spider-Man game ever.
no waaaay!! the CD version had those awesome ass cut scenes and rockin' tunes!!
Exactly! So cartridge > CD. :p
NEVER!
