Yeah, you might want to re-think your prediction. Chad Billingsley is starting tonight for the Dodgers, and a pitcher with no major league wins is pitching for the Pirates. That is a sure recipe for a Dodgers loss.

My prediction:

- Billingsley is taken out in the fourth inning after giving up six runs.

- The Pirates pitcher looks like a 10 time Cy Young Award winner, throwing 8 innings of shut out ball.

- Matt Kemp will either make a boneheaded base running error, or drop a fly ball in the outfield.

- Andre Ethier will continue to show that he is the second coming of Shawn Green, by either homering 4 times tonight...or hitting 4 weak ground balls to the 1st/2nd basemen.

- Russell Martin, after gaining 20 pounds this off season, will continue to look like a sumo wrestler with an afro-hawk.

- Torre will bring in every one of the Dodgers relief pitchers in the 6th inning, before realizing that they have to actually play 9 innings.

All of this being said, Casey Blake really needs to re-grow his beard. Perhaps that is why the Dodgers are doing so badly. Beardless Blake = LOSING GAMES. Bearded Blake = NLCS appearances :)

EDIT - And we're off...Billingsley gives up a ground rule double on the very first pitch of the game. Now here comes Andy LaRoche, to go 5 for 5 tonight...

So, um, Mariners had 2nd and 3rd 0 out, and loaded 1 out in the bottom 10th of a 0-0 game. They didn't score.

Bottom 11, 0-0, they just had bases loaded 1 out.

This is absurd. Dany Baez is a bum that I was never confident in and as soon as Lidge comes back, Ryan Madson breaks his toe when he kicked a chair after blowing a save. The Mets are in first place. The offense is slumping like a 60 year old whore.

I hope things turn around soon. Look out for those Mets, they mean business.
