It feels like 2009 again with the Mets. wow Starting pitching is a disaster, bullpen is overworked and Jerry Manuel is stupid. Omar Minaya will travel with the team to Atlanta so I think Jerry is on mega thin ice. If the Mets stink it up against the Braves and Nats I think Jerry is gone. Then again maybe Omar will wait until the Mets get ass raped by the Yanks next weekend at Citi Field to put the hammer down.
Not that Manuel doesn't deserve to be fired, but Minaya should too for the shit job he's done. That axe deserves to fall on his head, with the roster deficiencies still existing.
This time last year they were in the race and expectations were unreasonably high. This year they are on the edge of the race and people are expecting it to fall apart at anytime. 7 games over .500 is way better than expected but it's not a record that is going to set people to planning the world series route.Quote:
