The R.A. Dickey era begins today for the Mets against their great nemesis the Washington Natinals.
David Wright wanted to play and said a day off would be bad for him. What does Jerry do? Give him the night off. lol

Despite probably losing the game, Arod whit a HR AND Thames got hurt via stepping on his own bat?
Is it Christmas?
Los Mets es basura. :td:
It truly is Christmas for Rich since Posada is gone for a month with a fractured foot. More Cervelli for you!
That was the definition of a soul-crushing loss. T2 melts down in the ninth against the woeful Mariners. Wheels: have you per chance fallen off?
After one loss? Really dude? Holy fair weather.
Tampa = Impregnable.
Love the Mets. Even when they win something bad happens. John Maine is lifted after one batter and he insists nothing is wrong. He whines about it after the game and curses a bit. Pitching coach Dan Warthen said "John is a habitual liar in a lot of ways when it comes to his health." Jeez So now Maine is shot, Ollie sucks, Niese is hurt and the Yanks and Phils are next. fun times!
btw..that was one brutal loss for the Reds. wowzers
That's the kind of loss/win that can have a lasting effect for both teams.
To no one's surprise, Oswalt has asked to be traded. He has a no-trade clause, so he'll basically get to pick. The Angels would be a very good fit, except Arte Moreno hates making deals. I wonder if the Astros would take Brandon Wood.
The Rays released Pat Burrell. Will his next stop be Seattle? He'd have to out-produce Sleepy Junior, wouldn't he?
