This is fucking ridiculous. The commissioners office needs to be able to step in and rescind the call made by Jim Joyce. I was watching the end of the game on the MLB Network, and when Jim Joyce called the runner safe, I felt upset to my stomach.
HORRIBLE! Jim Joyce has robbed baseball fans everywhere of history that would have been made today. I think they said on MLB Network, that there have not been 3 perfect games in a season since 1880! We could have been witness to something that hasn't happened in over a century. LUDICROUS!
I'm not even a Tigers fan and I'm having an anxiety attack over this! LMFAO!
EDIT - BTW, kiss "instant replay free" baseball out the fucking window. This is going to be THE PLAY/BOTCHED CALL BY THE UMPIRE, that goes down in history as THE PLAY/CALL that is going to force MLB to use instant replay for more than just fair/foul Home Run calls. Mark my words, if there is anything that makes MLB change the replay rules, it will be THIS PLAY!
OK saw it. Even without it being the last out of a perfect game, it was still one of the worst calls ever. Because it was the last out, it's like beyond horrible. Have fun not having a job. And since you're in Detroit, have fun not living long. BTW, I would hate for that to happen ;(

Thing is too, even if the runner really was safe, by a fraction of a millisecond....it was still close enough that nobody would ever question it if the runner was called out. That was just a fucking dickhead move on Jim Joyce's part. What a fucking asshole.
