Amazon is un-DDOS-able. Anon should really pick a better target.
PLAGUE
I believe in the freedom of information, but we don't live in a peaceful age when everyone's holding hands and playing nice. We live in a world where bad people are trying to harm people like you and me, people who just want to mind their own business and live life they way they see fit. I don't buy into FUD or all the fear tactics out there. However, I'm also aware that there are people out there with extreme views, who cannot be talked down, who mean harm.
I've said it before, I'm not entirely against WL, but when certain things are said in secret (like sites critical to national security), it's done so to prevent those who intend harm from getting that information (and also to ensure actions are taken to protect those sites). If they get it on their own that's one thing, but loose lips sink ships. When that information gets out, you open the possibility of making yourself more vulnerable to attack than you already were. I'm pretty sure that WL would be under less fire had they not released the cable showing the sites critical to US national security. Imo, the public did not need to know that information. What crime was he exposing? It had nothing to do with some Shell/Nigerian connection or about boys being pimped out in Iraq. Assange has his own agenda and not all of it is in MY country's best interest.
Side note, I thought this was a good read.

In time of actual war yes, when applied to certain people telling certain information on future plans. After the fact ALL information about what our government does should be as transparent as possible. This does include foreign and military relations. No compromise on this.
When someone tries to blow some shit up in a town I consider my backyard, I consider it war. It may not be "official" war, but the threat is very real and I don't take it lightly.
EDIT: I'm not sure why my previous post is listed twice, but whatever.
