I've said it before, I'm not entirely against WL, but when certain things are said in secret (like sites critical to national security), it's done so to prevent those who intend harm from getting that information (and also to ensure actions are taken to protect those sites). If they get it on their own that's one thing, but loose lips sink ships. When that information gets out, you open the possibility of making yourself more vulnerable to attack than you already were. I'm pretty sure that WL would be under less fire had they not released the cable showing the sites critical to US national security. Imo, the public did not need to know that information. What crime was he exposing? It had nothing to do with some Shell/Nigerian connection or about boys being pimped out in Iraq. Assange has his own agenda and not all of it is in MY country's best interest.
