Whatevs. The game may be good, and I'll still probably give it a shot. But if they don't defy developmental logic and the game sucks I'm going to say so. Fuck the rest. There's little info out on the game, but all of it is disappointing.
Game has a lot to live up to. Maybe it will. So far doesn't seem like it. Too early to really tell.
...where is spider man? i'll be very upset if he's not in this. also, who the hell does that res evil guy think he is pointing a gun at the hulk? further more, who the hell does ryu think he is trying to karate kick wolverine? this game is gonna be awesome.
QFMFT. In XvSF IIRC Zangief could launch, punch some one twice xx lariat, land relaunch repeat over and over again. And this is tip of the iceberg. This was also back before Capcom added the "infinite dizzy" where you get launched, character died. Or dual War Machines chip bonanza in MvC1. MvC2 was actually unbroken in high level play. Sure it was unbalanced and you only saw a handful of characters but nothing ever broke the game. I think it was accidental on Capcom's part. We'll see how MVC3 pans out.
I just really love Felicia, so the more Felicia I get the happier I am. Nothing more. :P It would be neat to see more Darkstalker characters, though.
When did I complain about Marvel vs Capcom 2? I like MvC2. What I said is that I want MvC3 to be it's own game, not some bastard child trying to live up to it's estranged father's legacy.
You mean you can't form a definite opinion based on a teaser trailer? Say it's not so.
I'm assuming I'm just in the minority here on this board (or at least the minority who's posting in this thread). I love fighting games, but I've never played one to try and get to tournament level, count frames, exploit it, or whatever else the hardcore have been doing with these games for years; I just like to have fun and play. If I can play MvC3 and have fun with it, I'll be happy. If I want to play MvC2, I'll load it up and play that even after MvC3 is out.
One of the outlines in the larger poster is a dead ringer for his original art where he was standing and holding up his camera, so very likely.
I don't want to agree, but yeah definitely. Lord Raptor and Demitri would be better choices, but I guess they don't have the fanboy appeal. Or the wolf guy as a counter for Wolverine.
So the art flying around is supposed to be in-game character models according to this game's Twitter. Nice graphics but it means 2D sprites are out of the question.
Anybody expecting any 2D sprite-based fighters from Capcom at this point are just setting themselves up for disappointment. Capcom said sometime last year or so that they're pretty much done with 2D sprites when it comes to fighting games, and trying to do sprites is almost bankrupting SNK.
I am and will always be a diehard fan of sprites, but fuck no to a 480p sprite-based fighter in this day and age. That era is over and done.
The problem with moving to 3D models is the game never feels the same as it once did. SFIV doesn't feel anything like a 2D SF game. I'm sure this won't feel like any of the old ones, either. I'm going to assume it'll have a Rival Schools feel and that will be disappointing.
