It's legit. It may not be final but it's real.
The more I think about the button layout the more I'm convinced it will be a 2 fighters + 1 assist structure. If that's not the case you'll have to input a direction to get one assist or the other on the screen. SRK is up in arms while the TvC players are praising this. TvC players are retards who loved Melee so take it for what you will.

That system really isn't that radical -- it's exactly what they used in MvC1, hopefully without the dumb restrictions they had in MvC1 (like assists randomly picked by default and a usage limit). Honestly, I think they should go and try something different with MvC3 -- there is no way they are going to follow-up MvC2 successfully, so they may as well try to carve their own niche.
