cry more. All your bitching boils down to you not wanting to spend money or compete. You want to use the government to thin the odds for you.

Do you think the alternative would be better? Did you like high school?
Free college in the US would most likely mean fewer underfunded colleges with fewer people being educated.
horse shit and arrogance
which is pretty per the course for most of you
You're looking at this from a completely wrong angle. Competing with people who don't have my experience or qualifications is the same as not competing with them at all.
All of a sudden Buttcheeks is Stalin.
Because he believed in people spending a lot of money to get the education they wanted...
I'm usually on your side, and I don't even know what you're going on about this time.
He can see the benefits of having completely free colleges for those that deserve it but cannot concede because he wants to save face.
Do PR colleges rape outta state or territory students with crazy rate hikes compared to the locals? If that's the case then I'm retarded for not going to school there. I live in Orlando so I'm used to balls hot weather. What are typical PR collegiate room and board expenses like?
IIRC I got some Pell action myself back in college but IIRC then colleges just pocket whatever Grant you use until it's all gone. I don't think you can even abuse Pell Grants like that here unless my memory is foggy.
Colleges are a bit overrated these days. Everyone feels that the only way to succeed is to go to college, but at the same time, it takes less effort to get through college (granted some colleges are gonna be a lot harder). I didn't go to an Ivy League school, but I did go to a nice private college, and I can tell you it took the absolute minimum effort from me to get by with a B to A in some classes that i just didn't care about.
There is more of a push to just get a college degree rather than finding something you are interested and good in and spending the time focusing on that, even if it is just at a small tech school or trade school. Can't say for certain, but I may have been better off taking a year or so figuring out what I was really interested in and then going somewhere where I could focus on that and learn the most about it rather than dealing with general ed BS and random classes to fill requirements. But what do I know, I am just half a year out of school and still young and stupid.
