"like" should read "clone"
but fuck it anyway I like gradius, thanks for the link
edit: this is probably a bunch of false alarms, but http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/5...fa8-1275715554
Having played it briefly, I'm surprised at how polished and professional it is. You can tell it's a labour of love and that's probably why it has more appeal to me than something like Gradius Rebirth.
Hydorah is easily right up there with Gradius Gaiden in overall quality. The game's artwork does justice to Konami's style. If there's one more thing I'd like added, it's some harder difficulty settings- but that's not saying it's a cakewalk.
"This game has been cooked over a low flame for three years. I hope you enjoy it." - from the credits
Yes. :)
Thanks for the link. Now I have to resist playing it until I get some of this work done.
Have rep.
Is this laden with viruses or what?
nah just latin spice 2spicy4u
The developer's other game, 8-bit Killer, is worth checking out as well. It's like Wolfenstein 3D mixed with NES-inspired sprites.
Safe to say this is the best indie (but probably not doujin) shooter I've played. Great presentation.
The save system, however limited, is kind of weird to see after how much they warn the player of the game's difficulty. Definitely less punishing than the games it emulates.
This game is the business.
That is all.
