I missed it too, holy crap I wanna play this game!
Fighting games have had visible damage for a long time, but for some reason it never really caught on. Art of Fighting has it's facial damage, Time Killers lets you fight after losing an arm or two, Bushido Blade had a pretty well integrated injury model, and I'm sure there have been several boxing games with detailed damage models.
I'm glad to see the direction they're heading with this, though.
The x-ray moves remind me of a Sonny Chiba movie.
They need to fix the visibility of the characters on the bgs. It's just a mess of shadow on top of shadow- nothing reads.

So, I just watched the 13 minute video posted a while back, this shit looks ridiculous for reals.
I was actually impressed by the gameplay demo.
I'm not a fan of the tekken/VF floating juggles making their way in. Although that's probably how the old combos would have looked anyway if they'd been 3d games from the start.
Ed Boon looks like the missing link.
Needs to put some of that fat Mortal Money into hair restoration.
