I think the crappy launch has to do with 0 advertising. I haven't seen anything on TV, and I watch a LOT of TV. If I didn't check this thread I wouldn't know when the thing was launching.

The release date is a bit bewildering. The first real push for this thing will be for the holidays, around Thanksgiving. The first AAA title will be out in time and they'll have new colors and possibly a sell-in bundle.
My friend code is 0216-0795-3553.
Played some SF4. As a surprise to no one, it's an excellent conversion hampered by the controls. The D pad actually works well for fighters but the awkward placement makes playing uncomfortable. The analog slider works reasonably well, but I have a hard time with the dragon punch motion.
I just played a few races in Ridge Racer, and so far this is my killer app. Yoshi is right, racing games in 3d are excellent.
The bad part-nothing new here, aside from the addition of some muscle cars. It is pretty much PSP Ridge Racer 3, at a slightly lower resolution. Still, PSP RR is my favorite portable game ever, so...
Yeah see that's my issue. It doesn't look as good as the PSP one...and it runs at 30 FPS, right??
My FC is 1977-0152-7220, I only have SFIV and I feel fucking dirty for it. I have to say I'm really impressed with how well the 3D actually works. Didn't expect it to work this well.
Agreed, I'm glued to this. A few things:
-The racing icons would've been great for a online mode, as it stands they hamper 3D by slicing through textures and breaking the illusion. Believe they can be turned off though.
-You get by the 3D pretty quick, the only times it pops out to me is jumps. Suddenly my car is floating and I biff the landing.
Now how about F-Zero GX with wi-fi ya bastards?
A port of F-Zero GX on this would be absolutely amazing. Still my favorite racing game of all time.
