I am late, but I did finally experience the 3DS. I had no trouble seeing the effect. It was actually a lot easier to see and keep in focus than I thought it would be. But I don't get it. The depth of field is like an inch. That's practically useless, so why bother? I guess I don't see the point of 3D as implemented here.
I could go for Bit. Trip Complete, actually....
