A week ago I would have said save the money for the Vita, but god damn is Mario 3d Land fun. It's almost worth the price of admission alone!
I downloaded that "learn chinese" game from the ds store. It's ridiculous, hilarious, terribly drawn and it actually works.
I'd rather have a 3DS, Mario 3D Land, and Shinobi over a Vita. At least at this point in time.
Mario Kart 7 is just around the corner, too.
Started playing Mario 3D Land yesterday and I've already had to recharge the system twice due to it. AWESOME game that actually made me glad I bought the system.
You might want to look into the Nyko extended battery. It's not perfect, but it works and the slight extra bulk actually makes the system more comfortable.
Used the $15 off coupon from Mario at K-Mart to pick up Ace Combat 3DS.
First of all, it's interesting that any 3DS title with a marginally decent Metacritic score is only available at Gamestop or Amazon. Cave Story, SMT: Devil Survivor, Bit Trip, shocked to see Shinobi or Ace Combat in a department store at all.
Haven't really been impressed by most 3DS games but Ace Combat has eaten away at alot of free moments. The voicework and soundtrack are excellent and the graphic filters recreate some beautiful scenery at the resolution (aside from city scenes which look straight up PSP). I love that the HUD has been moved to the second screen giving you a uncompromised viewpoint yet offering useful info at a glance that escaped Ridge Racer. Ease of evasion from incoming missile attacks is the only complaint so far, hoping the difficulty ramps up here soon.
You know I've never actually played any of the Ace Combat games even though I keep hearing good things about the series. Is this a good game to use to break into the series?Quote:
