It's for me! I really wanted a 3DS but I couldn't go back to that shitty screen after getting my DSi XL. I can explain every other lousy decision regarding this revision like so: Nintendo + NOA

I'm acutually surprised that there is no second analog stick. At least we know that it's never going to be built into the real hardware so there's no point in waiting.

Like the first XL, it's the same resolution as the earlier model. Nintendo's not about to get involved with the Apple-style compatibility circus that would come with a resolution bump.

It's for me, because the DSi XL was so awesome and this will be, too. Really sucks about the stick, now I have to wait for Nyko to make a battery + CPP for the XL before I can play RE or Kingdom Hearts.

I wonder how the larger screen's 3D effect will look.

Same here. I love the DSi XL and hope that DS games will look as good on the 3DS XL as they do on the DSi XL.

Still don't care about lack of 2nd circle pad, as no 3DS game has left me needing one.

The slight difference in resolution between the two systems ensures that the DSi XL will still be the best way to go. The 3DS native resolution tweak (hold Start and Select) will wind up looking a lot better on the 3DS XL than the vanilla 3DS simply because the screen is 90% bigger.

More important to me is the hope that they fixed it so that the bottom screen bezel can't fuck the top screen up when you close it.
I got two pits in my top screen, so I don't even use it anymore.

The XL has two rubber stoppers near the top of the screen to keep the screens from rubbing all up ons.

Then when they come out with the inevitable "decent game + specially painted or stickered system" bundle, I will get one. Fo sho.
