Explain the disdain? What disdain? I don't really do pictures, but as long as they are not phoney, they should be welcome, with candid or trolling preferred, what ever represents the music.
That's the thing. They mostly are phony. Everyone throws on their cool clothes, gets fashionably disheveled, and mugs for the camera.
The Deckards "band photo" is awesome, btw. We played a show, got sweaty, went to the most amazing gay bar ever, drank whisky, then Rebecca took a photo of us where Ryan looks like Toru from Guitar Wolf.
Then I shopped our faces on to a picture of the Three Amigos.
