This makes me wanna play MDK. Never played MDK2. Which is better?
2
mdk2 was awesome
I prefer the original. MDK2 falters a bit with the Max and Doc levels, which can basically be described as "Kurt without the sniper rifle or ribbonchute" and "Kurt with crippled jumping abilities and no gun." MDk1 is an awesome blastfest all the way through, but I think MDK2's pacing, thanks to the non-Kurt levels, just isn't as good. That said, it's still a very good game, but I'm not really sure of the necessity of an HD remake. I played through MDk2 earlier this year and I can guarantee you that I will not be purchasing this remake.
bVork is backwards again. Check out my surprised face:

1 is easily the better game. get the fuck outta here with that 3 character bullshit.
I only played 2 on DC, good game, the other two characters were some bullshit though. Sonic Adventure Syndrome.
MDK1 also had that weird British sense of humor thing going for it. I liked that.
I got bored of one about halfway through, someday I will go back to it.
Regardless of which I liked better, the prospect of remaking MDK1 seems more interesting. This is more likely a pretty cheap cash-in to raise revenue for Interplay's resurrection, though, so it'll probably be a retexturing effort with some new models for key characters.
MDK1 is better than 2 but not by much. Both are great.
Why not read this fascinating review of MDK2 from deep within the archives of TNL?

Shitty that this remake is being released on two systems I am not prepared to spend money on. Maybe HD will get released the 360 sooner than later too.
I only played the demo on the Dreamcast, maybe I missed something but it seemed like an average game.
Boo, this won't be out until 2011. Fuck it.
This could actually map out well with a Wiimote control scheme.
Ha! Cool!
