The episode was called The Christmas Invasion, so I'm assuming it's the Christmas ep.

Incorrect! They're little ten five minute one-offs that connect the seasons that the BBC likes to air as part of its holiday charity fundraiser what-not.

They're bonus features on the DVD, and due to their nature don't show up on BBC America repeats.

2006 - links "The Parting of the Ways" and "The Christmas Invasion"

2007 - links "Last of the Time Lords" and "Voyage of the Damned"


The last couple years have been finale previews. New one coming out this Christmas, though! (I think Sarah Jane Adventures has done one as well, but no one watches that)

Well... I've never heard them referred to as "Christmas specials" before, but whatever. I think the Christmas episodes, like "The Christmas Invasion," are more considered to be Christmas specials. Semantics; we both sent him to the same mini-episodes.

Yeah I'm a Donna fan. I think she's been my favorite of the new series as well.

New Doctor was okay, but some of the writting seems lacking, still the whole dynamic between Rory, Amy, and the Doctor might be fun to explore.

Matt Smith spins a lot.

I liked the most current season enough but only after all the episodes were shown, to show how it all integrated.

I had them remembered as being Christmas Specials, but it turns out they are "Children in Need" specials! November vs. December omg

Two episodes in and Davin Tennant is completely different, but a good different.

He's way more goofy than Eccleston, but not annoying goofy.
