But can't that be said about almost every chain/fast food restaurant franchise? I think the "ears" are actually the goggles from the previous pics flipped up. Pretty clever if so - preserves the character's iconic silhouette to please the comic fans while providing a solid justification for an otherwise silly element, thus also preserving the psuedo-realism that helps make Nolan's take on Batman and his world popular with the wider audience.
