I'm done with ties. I think the last time I wore one was in 2000, and that was when I overdressed for an interview when I was looking to move down here.
Ties are just fucking awful.
So are suits.
So is dressing like a shit. But I'm comfortable in what I wear. I don't have to wear it, I choose to.
I'm a convert on ties. It's great to have an excuse to wear 'em, and I like a lot of the places one needs to be wearing a tie to get into.*
As far as options go, the option to dress like an adult is a good one! Polo shirts do not accomplish this as well as you imagine them to.
