Yeah, I think what I'm calling hipsters is a bit different from what you're calling hipsters.

I really don't associate hipsters with college kids. They're usually late 20s/early 30s professionals with iPhones and expensive brand name skinny jeans that spend way too much money to look like shit.

No but it means I have to travel outside of my borough to meet anyone worth talking to. Either that or wait for a large sporting event to make sure the bars are filled with normal people who won't cry about my AC/DC tee. There are times when it can be pretty cool but it ain't often.

if they cry about your ac/dc tee, tell them you only like the early albums before the first singer died, and then go "oh wait, you wouldn't know about those albums"

Yeah, I've been in Philly for almost seven years now, and hipster has been part of the vernacular for most of that time, but when people talk about hipster shit here it's neon clothes, dumb dance parties and $1 PBR specials not being stupidly pretentious and exclusive about everything, though what you're talking about is present to a much lesser extent.

So if there's four million women in the city but you're confined to only four boroughs then that's like really only 3.2 million women. Fucking hipsters :td:

That seems much more Philly at least. If Philly becomes rich snobs, I'm going to have to disown my hometown. If it's not full of rowdy brokedick drunks, it's not Philadelphia.
