They actually always added the "Always day" option. You can go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning

Already did all of the things you said. My problem with nighttime isn't the monsters issue, it's that it can make it annoying if you're working on building something - which is the entire point to playing on this particular multiplayer server.

Doesn't really work on a realtime MP server. (At least, I'm assuming, as I've not tried it yet.)

Everyone might have to go to sleep at the same time.

Does it really? I assume if just one person signed on doesn't it stays night though?

That doesn't seem really helpful if people are out digging in caves and shit, but I suppose you could just carry a bed with you huh?
