That was a pretty awesome trailer.
Also: even with 4.0 patch there's still nothing new to do. Release the expansion already.

Ok, so the first boss of Blackwing Descent is a group of four golems: Arcatron, Toxitron, Magmatron and Electron. 32 Million shared HP in 10 man regular.
The fight starts with only one of the four being active (it's random), patrolling the small landing the fight takes place on. Pulling him and fighting him is pretty normal.
Arcatron poops out small blue pools that increases your DPS and MP5 when he or you stand in it. it's like the Iron Council in Ulduar. He sends out arcane bolts.
Toxitron sends out slimes that track and explode, leaving a pool of poison. You slow and kill them. He also poops down a toxic cloud that debuffs your damage resistance. If you tank him inside it he takes more damage, so the tank will try to do this.
Magmatron periodically does an AOE fire spell that ticks for 8-9k on the whole raid for about 6 ticks. He also has a targeted flamethrower that targets one raid member and casts 5 seconds later, hitting everyone in that line.
Electron supercharges people, making them into a surging bomb, and they need to stay away from one another when this happens. He also casts chain lightning.
After 60 seconds fighting the first golem, he will activate one of his friends and put up a shield. The new golem will announce he's activated. The raid needs to immediately switch targets to the new guy because the old one will then put up a shield of some sort depending on who he is. They will all completely wipe the raid if they are hit too many times with the shield up though. At this time there will be two of them up at the same time, one being offtanked and the other being tanked and DPSed. They both use their abilities during this time. 60 seconds later the second guy will activate the third guy, and the first guy will deactivate completely. Now you have to deal with a new combination of attacks and switch immediately to the new guy. This happens again 60 seconds later, until again the first guy is activated again. The raid has to learn what combinations are possible every time a new guy comes up, as well as trying to use the 2 AOE debuffs to their advantage, because they have a crazy amount of HP.
Mages can spellsteal Arcatron's shield ability currently, making them pretty crazy (every time they get hit their damage and cast time goes up by 10%) but the fight is still pretty hard only because people get confused about what the boss combinations are capable of. Our best attempt was 40% and the few weak members of the raid kept wiping us.
It's a brilliantly constructed fight, I'm really glad it looks like Blizzard brought back a little challenge and made the fights seemingly more about execution and awareness instead of GCD obsession and simple void zone mechanics.
I want.
YOU SEE THIS, ROBBY? YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION.
When you said Transformer fight, I expected transforming robots. I'm disappointed. The Cata cinematic made me so worried for the Booty Bay statue, that I had to look up online what happens to it.
It loses an arm and some of the face and its covered in seaweed now, but theres a hidden treasure room inside filled with gold and shit
Also, I just ran my first dungeon ever as a healer and it was so easy and awesome.
They do talk like transformers, and hey, maybe at 30% or something they merge.
Holy crap that trailer was awesome.
So frost is the new mage flavor? How's it work? FFB > FoF/Deep Freeze > FoF/Ice Lance > Frostbolt?
For those who want. At least in 25 man it seems under tuned.
From what I've been playing as the ice mage (I did it today for the raid testing) you actually spam frostbolt while having your elemental out. FB will proc both Brain Freeze and Fingers of Frost, allowing you to cast Ice Lance or Deep Freeze instantly. if DF is up, use it on the boss, I've seen anywhere from 60-80k crits from it. If not, Ice Lance until you've used up your FoF charges. Similarly, every once in a while your FB will proc Brain Freeze, simply spend it on your FFB and move on. Use Mirror Image, Icy Veins, refresh them with Cold Snap, and use your new Frostfire Orb when it's up, and that's basically what you'll be doing.
Water ele freeze on CD too.
