Yeah, you should expect people to react when you say something inflammatory. I don't think anyone here lacked any understanding about the cruelty of the world, it's only because you went and assumed people's priority systems were defective that people even needed to define to you the difference between assumed evil and witnessed evil, or consequential cruelty as opposed to insidious, deliberate cruelty. I assumed nothing. I based my statements on what was written on the page. It's obvious people's priority systems are defective. I "get" that people value animals over people. I "get" that people think cruelty to animals is just as bad as cruelty to humans. I'm saying that those people are wrong.
I think it's pretty natural and easy to feel a sense of revulsion when someone can so callously kill completely innocent and extremely helpless complex living creatures.
