I beg to differ. The Skins have The WORST defense in the league. And we have to stop Vick...at home? LOL.
Edit: Philly's offense is also currently a top-10 unit...

When the top tackler in the NFL is your strong safety, your defense has MAJOR problems.
1. You're going by yardage, which kills your entire argument.
2. I just said they've only beaten two awful defenses, so of course their numbers are going to look good.
3. The Redskins have played two of maybe the Top 5 offenses in the league, so their defense is going to look like shit too.
Special Teams yardage is crucial to the field position game, so that's why I included total yardage. The Skins have a good special teams unit, but other than that, they have the WORST defense and we have to try and stop Vick. I know you hate him, but that still doesn't negate the fact that he can throw the ball and make plays with his feet. He's got some pretty good receivers to throw to (Maclin and Jackson) and Philly's defense isn't horrible either.
Point taken, but Vick can still make plays. He looks reborn.Quote:

Yeah, but 30 points to the Rams? If you play two of maybe the Top 5 offenses in the league, you shouldn't allow THE RAMS to score 30 points on you. That 3rd and 20 conversion late in the game infuriated me. Good defenses should always stop a team on 3rd and 20, especially with a rookie QB and no Steven Jackson.Quote:

I never thought a Cowboys fan would have more faith in the Skins than I do. ;)
Yardage is the truest way to measure a defence, it's an absolute measure of how much territory they cede. Because of field goals points are influenced by field position special teams gives up. One possession might give up 40 yards and force a punt because the opponent starts at their own 20, while another gives up 20 yards but the opponent gets a field goal from starting at the 50.
No
Just thought of two ways to describe how it feels to be a Redskins fan and the team as a whole.
1) It's like being in a misleading relationship. You think things are heading in the right direction (acquire a proven QB, acquire a proven HC, draft a monster lineman, have a young/proven defense), but just when you think things are going in the right direction (you beat Dallas), things don't go the way you expected and the ugly truth is exposed (you blow a 17-point lead and lose to the Texans and you lose to the Rams after spotting them 30 points). Relationship over.
2) How does the saying go? Shit is still shit, no matter how well you dress it? Yeah, that's the Skins. No matter how good they may seem, you still get the same results - losing and the inability to put the ball in the endzone (especially when in the red zone).
I guess the only consolation I have is knowing that the Skins have won more playoff games than the Cowboys over the last 13 years.
Wow Ryan, that made me shed a tear. I just wish Daniel Snyder sold the team so they can be competitive again.
Niners fired their Offensive Co-ordinater today, replaced him with their QB coach. I think they should have fired their QB, personally.
