I wonder if we get to hear more excuses by Vikings fans.
I'm listening to the game on the radio during the final two minutes and thinking that the Vikings might actually win. Then I hear INTERCEPTION!
Ah, classic Favre.
Dallas @ Minnesota is the biggest game on this Sunday's docket. Both teams much better than their 1-3 records would indicate.
I was thinking during last night's game that Minnesota could still make the playoffs even if they lose to Dallas this weekend, if you check out the Vikings' remaining schedule:
6 Oct 17 DAL @ MIN 4:15 PM FOX
7 Oct 24 MIN @ GB 8:20 PM NBC
8 Oct 31 MIN @ NE 4:15 PM FOX
9 Nov 07 ARI @ MIN 1:00 PM FOX
10 Nov 14 MIN @ CHI 1:00 PM FOX
11 Nov 21 GB @ MIN 1:00 PM FOX
12 Nov 28 MIN @ WAS 1:00 PM FOX
13 Dec 05 BUF @ MIN 1:00 PM CBS
14 Dec 12 NYG @ MIN 1:00 PM FOX
15 Dec 20 CHI @ MIN 8:30 PM ESPN
16 Dec 26 MIN @ PHI 1:00 PM FOX
17 Jan 02 MIN @ DET 1:00 PM FOX
Either of them can, but it would require running the table in their division. They each have a divisional loss (I think). But if you go 5-1 in your division, it's pretty hard not to win it.
Good point, here's the Cowboys' schedule too:
6 Oct 17 DAL @ MIN 4:15 PM FOX
7 Oct 25 NYG @ DAL 8:30 PM ESPN
8 Oct 31 JAC @ DAL 1:00 PM CBS
9 Nov 07 DAL @ GB 8:20 PM NBC
10 Nov 14 DAL @ NYG 4:15 PM FOX
11 Nov 21 DET @ DAL 1:00 PM FOX
12 Nov 25 NO @ DAL 4:15 PM FOX
13 Dec 05 DAL @ IND 4:15 PM FOX
14 Dec 12 PHI @ DAL 8:20 PM NBC
15 Dec 19 WAS @ DAL 1:00 PM FOX
16 Dec 25 DAL @ ARI 7:30 PM NFLN
17 Jan 02 DAL @ PHI 1:00 PM FOX
Like many others I imagine, I'm not quite sure what to make of the Cowboys. I'm particularly waiting to see how they do against the Giants, that's been a tightly-contested series in recent years and the Cowboys very likely need to at least split this season.
