Well they should be. When I play, if I come out I expect to get hit. It's gay that he chose to come out, contact was made and he couldn't get back in the net and a goal was taken away. Some goalies need to learn that they just can't play the puck.

Holy shit.
And: Looks like Langenbrunner is on the verge of being dealt.
Finally
Langenbrunner is now a Dallas Star in exchange for a conditional 3rd rounder.
So at the half-way point of the season, Nashville is tied with Anaheim for the 4th spot in the West. However, there are 6 other teams in the West within 3 points of Nashville/Anaheim.
Looks like it's going to come down to the last week of the season, as it seems to ever year for Nashville getting into the playoffs.
The Devils' 11 wins is pretty bad, but man, the worst stat by far is that -55 goal differential. Next closest is Edmonton (13 wins) with -37 goal differential.
If I was making one rule change to the NHL right now, it would be to only award 1 point for shootout losses, not overtime losses. That would keep the standings from being such a huge clusterfuck like they are now, but I guess the NHL does this to keep more teams in the playoff hunt and keep more markets' interest going as long as possible in the regular season.
Just got back from watching the Predators dominate the Wild. Such a good game. Glad to see the Preds win in person again.
I am torn about the overtime loss points. I have only been a big hockey fan for less than a year, and while I hate seeing teams catch up or surpass us, it is also something that can make teams play harder to at least get the single point.
I will be going to the Preds vs Chicago game on sat as well. I know we can beat them, just hope that the actually do it.
Awesome Preds v Hawks game tonight. The Preds were abysmal the first 2 periods. No offense to speak of and only decent defense at best. There was some good hits, and Pekka did a great job all the shots he took.
The Preds finally brought some action to the game in the third and tied it up with 2 goals within a minute or two apart. Pekka saved our asses at the end of the third, stopped a breakaway in OT, and shut out the shoot out.
