He zooms into the mirror, sees the arm of the girl poking out (which only pokes out as he moves further into the mirror) from behind the central image, pans to the side and around the obstruction to view the girl completely. Pretty sure thats looking around a corner... through a mirror nonetheless.

It's still kind of different from what happens in the game, but I can see where they got the idea from.
I'm trying to figure out what part of what I said isn't exactly what happened.
Focus instead on who you're trying to explain something to. It is there that you will find the root of your problem.

Yeah, after watching the video and your explanation I suppose it all adds up, but recompiling layers in a mirror to make an image wouldn't instantly make me think that the same thing would allow for 3D viewing of any room regardless of extensive reflection.
While silly, that actually makes more sense than what happens in the game.
You can see in the video I posted that is just bends the whole world in the game, it never goes into a reflective surface.

I got the "more doggy than dog" ending!
Let Guzza get shot, killed the Jamaican, stripper, and Chinese dude, shot Clovis at the end on account of the dog exploding. I saved right before Guzza fell in the sewer, I think there's a few other endings immediately possible from where I'm at (shoot Guzza myself, maybe).
First playthrough was very clunky, mostly because I wasn't sure what the game was asking of me; there were a lot of points where I was just hitting every location hoping to trip SOMETHING. I think a second run-through would be a lot smoother all around, now that I know where/how events trigger in the game.
Oh yeah, and for God's sake, SAVE OFTEN. Dying kicks you back to the start of a chapter, and you really don't want that. Shit kills you out of nowhere sometimes; there's this one plank in the sewers that does this awful Monty Python thing if you walk across it and there's a rat.
