I had no clue people liked that game. I rented it once when I was 10 and I thought it was terribad
I love how the intro has the flashing Batman and that one note that hangs so you keep resetting your NES and blowing on the game until you remember that's how it starts:
lol yeah.
I actually just got the Famicom version of the game like two weeks ago (it has The Coolest Case, with a poster for an instruction manual), and I have this ghetto-ass converter I use to play FC games, so I thought there was something wrong somewhere in the chain when I booted it up. but nah, the game just stands there for a second and hums like a 'tard.
#8) Burnout Paradise- $5 off an EA sale a few weeks back, and I used it to test out my shiny new video card. I never really clicked with Paradise on the 360 but the PC version hooked me instantly. I've still got a ton of stuff to do if I want, but I've earned the Burnout license and can happily call this as complete as I need it to be.

#25 - Densetsu no Stafy (GBA)
This game is SO FREAKING GOOD. Super Princess Peach kind of came out of nowhere for me, but you can easily see the evolution of that style of gameplay through the Stafy series. NOA is a piece of shit for not translating these. Finished off the enemy list, found all the treasures, collected 9999 orbs to complete the group picture, beat the game three times to get the best ending. There's still a "????" under the main map menu's clamshell (Moe?) option that I think is supposed to be the sound test that unlocks when you fill up the enemy encyclopedia (which I did), but there is seriously like nothing written about this game anywhere at all. Is there a Japanese equivalent to gamefaqs? Where could I even find information about this game? It can be totally in Japanese, Chrome will translate and I will wade through it.

Platinum. Beaten on both Lawful and Chaotic on Hard and enjoyed it. Tons of improvements here. Completely dropping Precision shot required quests, much much better facial animations and more variety in terms of landscapes (the bayou at the beginning is an immediate 'okay we get it, here's more than just a concrete jungle' affair), more interesting powers, being able to melee (!) from close instead of constantly sniping was very smart. Other minute things you admire that's improved, such as Static Thrusters having a Level 2 upgrade to float you much higher and further than you could in the previous game. Now it feels very useful instead of a featherweight of help. Also the Blast Shard Locator that homes in on the nearest one to you on the radar was immensely helpful. A friend of mine has one shard left to Platinum inFamous Original, but she can't find it and never looked back. This seems to correct those kind of very warranted frustrations. Also, having a duo of equally powered ethnic chicks alongside you as a very visual morality meter is neat. I'm an f-chan, so I went with ice, because every now and then, hey, we get yellow fever.

Being graced with a J-360 puts me in an obligation to try out these region-locked STGs. Unlike the last few six or seven 360 Cave releases, this is the first one I didn't buy immediately, so I'm a bit late to this (on the import scene at least). It's basically the Progear no Arashi 2 I always wanted. I'm not a fan of Horizontal, outside of some classic favourites (Gradius, Blazing Star), but the setups here are quite beautiful. Stage 3's ''shogun'' style snow mountain stage is seriously jaw droppingly beautiful, upscaled and whatnot. I'm also a much bigger fan of shooters with military-based themes, so romps like Ibara, Battle Garegga and this are artistically more appealing to me than games like Mushihimesama.
The Shin edition comes with three modes, the original 4:3 AK, the updated 16:10 (I think?) Shin version with an extra boss (who is like, nekkid) and Zetsu mode, which changes the basics of scoring. Overall, I think I like Shin the most, since the blades system of charge shotting and then letting go to unleash a barrage of blades that dig through the enemies is really fun. Again, this is one of their prettier games and above all, it has a gorgeous menu, unlike every other game they've released on disc lately.
Almost 1CC'ed each mode, but the final boss just spikes in difficulty and I waste a credit for it.
37. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...eanMachine.png
I wanted to buy a copy of Ristar last month, but considering how the Ultimate Genesis Collection is cheaper and comes with some other games I always wanted to own (Beyond Oasis, Dynamite Headdy, Phantasy Star IV) I figured the collection would be my best bet (also, trophies!!).
I've only ever truly seen Mean Bean Machine from the back of my Sonic Spinball booklet and was always curious as to what it's puzzle mechanic was like. Pretty simple, it seems. It's an old game, but I still think it's pretty charming. Robots get pretty cheap around the Stage 5 or 6 mark and aside from Robotnik himself, I didn't have to resort to save states. Pretty fun game! I tried a cheat after beating it to see if I could pull off the game on Hardest and well, that was hard, so never again.
On a side-note, I got the Platinum for UGC, but it is undeniably the easiest Platinum I will ever have, next to other games like Split/Second and Vanquish.
38. All Kamen Rider: Rider Generation
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Generation.png
I don't speak about it much here, but I am a huge Kamen Rider fan. This weekend is the end of the current year's Rider, OOO (Ohzu) and the 40th anniversary spawned this game. Pretty awesome 2D beat-em-up for DS, where you can pick over 30 Riders. For each stage you pick the hero you wish to control and an AI partner. There's a leveling up system and each Rider can surprisingly pull off many of the tricks, bells and whistles they did in the show. Certain Kamens gain their signature move (usually a Rider Kick) once they reach Level 8, but a good few have to buy items from the Shop to unlock them. And they're all significant items relating to their stories (Ichigo needs his iconic red scarf, W needs his fedora, Birth, a cake, etc).
There are also hidden Duo attacks where having certain AI partners teamed up with your point character creates devastating combos. I've only seen one and it was fricking insane. The sprites look like tiny 3D models that were drawn over with to look more sprite-like and colorful, so the game isn't exactly beautiful, but it's charming in its own way.
It's kind of repetitive, but that's the staple of most beat-em-ups, while keeping something fresh to have the player experiment with all day and this does it well. Really love the game and there are multiple difficulties and challenges in each stage, so it's incredibly replayable. Also, there is a plethora of voice acting in this game and a lot of it is hilarious. The game will boot-up and Riders will randomly scream shit at you before the Title Call.

Fun fact: I did French localization for this game and was also there for support for the loc testers who spoke 20 languages, but had trouble with some of the harder platforming parts (even if you can't die, you do have to start all over till the last time you touched the ground). I played this several times on 360, getting the 1000Gs and then gave it to my cute little niece because she wanted something simple to play and loves platforming. I ended up buying it back for PS3 since it's a very charming game and despite everyone hating it, I love it a lot.
The exchanges between Elika and the Prince are pretty funny, gripfalling, and combat were fun. Not much to say here aside from the fact that I collected 999/1000 seeds in the game and realized I probably encountered the famous Seeds glitch, saw the last seed in front of me, but it wouldn't add to my total. Had to start all over. Found all 1000 again from scratch in a New Game in one day. I like Nolan North VO's even if he's everywhere, so despite most people's complaints, his VO was actually a positive to me.
Platinum.

I want to play this game now that you have talked about it in such a way.
