I went to the Phillies game last night and watched Cole Hamels shut the Dodgers down. He's been pretty lights out so far this year, and being he's usually not going full speed until after the All-Star break, I think he may be a Cy Young candidate.
Absolutely brutal loss for the Mets last night but I'm not upset or anything. I mean for gods sake..Angel Pagan and Daniel Murphy are taking turns batting cleanup. lol Jason Bay is a bum and isn't in the lineup tonight. Thank god. Mets are doing well all things considered and they'll probably hover around the .500 mark for the rest of the season. At least they are fun to watch sometimes.
Joba Chamberlain has a torn ligament and Tommy John may be required. ouch

Joba is a pretty good relief pitcher. His FIP last year wasn't so bad. It's going to hurt the Yanks with him being out.

What'dyou think about the realignment talk? I like the idea of the Rangers and Astros being in the same league, but dunno if I'd want the Astros to shift to the AL or play in the West and have to watch games later at night. I do think Texas is primed for this to become a decent rivarly, though, and having it effect a division race is much more exciting than playing for a Silver boot.
