Mets went bananas against Tigers pitching again. Tomorrow they'll face the great Justin Verlander. I doubt they'll have another double digit scoring game tomorrow especially with Verlander on the mound but hey..ya never know. :P
Blue Jays finally win against Phillies.
They scored six runs off Cliff Lee, breaking his shutout streak. Before today, Lee gave up exactly one home run in eighth inning throughout his entire career. The Jays banged out three within five batters, including Jose Bautista's 27th.
Speaking of Bautista, he amassed the most all-star votes in history, beating the previous record (held by Ken Griffey Jr, naturally) by 1.5 million.
Juan "Cry Me A" Rivera was DFA'd today to make room for Travis Snider.

Phillies crushed the Marlins tonight. I don't think the NLCS will be quite so interesting this year (but I could be wrong). The Phillies team this year has been plagued by injuries to many key players but has still been nearly unstoppable. I think it nearly a given at this point that the Phillies win the NL east without a hitch unless the Braves really turn it on. I already can't wait for October.
