It seems like all that will accomplish is to give the division winners a larger advantage in the NLDS. because the Wild Cards will have to burn a pitcher for that game. And the NL West winner doesn't even deserve to be in the playoffs, let alone have a larger advantage. Let's go back to two divisions if there have to be two Wild Cards.
Thoughts from yesterday's Jays/Rays game:
• This was an especially tough game to watch. I know the Jays are out of it, but I'd love for them to finish strong. On the other hand, the Rays are soooo close to Red Sox, and I'd love to see Boston miss the playoffs. On the other other hand, the Rays have handed the Jays' their ass for the past four years. Even when they were terrible they always decimated them, especially at the Trop. The Jays fan in me wants to see them kill the Rays' playoff hopes, but the baseball fan in me wants to see a scrappy team with no budget slay one of the dragons of the AL East.
• If Baltimore and Toronto had accomplished what the Rays had this year, Camden and the Skydome would be packed, and all the sports bars in the city would be rammed. Trop had like 13,000 people there yesterday. It's fucking bullshit. They're an exciting ball club. Their success is wasted on their fan base.
• That outing was very un-David Price-like. The man has a 1.69 ERA against the Jays. I mean, he's filthy. What the hell happened?
You know what I'd like? For Detroit to get its rivalry back with Toronto. It was a fierce rivalry. We're and hour and a bit away from each other.
Balanced schedule, two divisions with top four teams from each going to the playoffs. Also, shorten the season to 156 games.

What...don't like the mean looking Jays logo? Blue Jays are the assholes of the bird world right? What I would like the Jays to do is use smaller lettering for the unis. Long names look ridiculous on the jerseys.
I'm totally for a two division, balanced schedule for each league with no interleague play.

i like the current unis. vast improvement over the Roger Clemens era unis they had after they won the world series and decided they needed to change the logo so everyone would forget what a winning team looked like . and if they are going back to the old logo then go back to the actual old logo, not that thing. it looks warped.
