edit: Jose told Terry Collins to take him out of the game if he gets a hit so this was all planned out before the game. The Poet Miguel Batista pitches a 2 hit complete game shutout against a Reds team that looked like they wanted to go home. Citi Field was empty as well.
I don't care for LaRussa and the Cards but I hope they beat the snot out of the Astros and the Braves complete their collapse. Fuck the Braves and Larry Jones.
Mets finish with 77. In April I predicted they would win 70-75 and the team would be blown up. So, they did a bit better. They should still be blown up though.
