Rayman Legends demo is up on the marketplace. If you've seen the playable demo at Gamestops it's an updated version of that with an extra level. One level with the tablet controls, one traditional level, and then the Castle Rock scrolling level. The best level.
There are cellphones with faster processors than these consoles, I'm not sure why in 2012 overheating is an issue at these speeds.Quote:

One thing I can’t help but want, though, is some sort of trophy/achievement system. When achievements were first introduced I didn’t really give a rat’s ass about ‘em. But they’ve really grown on me over the years and they really do motivate me to get more outta my games and extend their life. I hope they decide to implement something in the future. Coins would be ideal in my opinion… with the classic Mario Bros. coin sound effect. What I remember hearing was that developers could implement achievements/trophies within the game itself. If any of you played some of the pre-trophy era PS3 games such as Devil May Cry 4 or Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (before it got a trophy patch), well, that’s how I imagine it will be for WiiU games.
Don’t get me wrong, though, I’m not an OCD achievement/trophy hunter or anything. I’d just like to have the option there because sometimes the mood to go for the trophies does strike me. I think a great move for every system/game would be an option to turn off trophies for games where you don’t wanna worry about it. Some achievements are cool, and I like to look back on ‘em like, “yeah, I remember doing that shit”, but some of them are just insanely hard and way too frustrating/time consuming.
I do really like the idea of buying digital goods with trophies/achievements, however.
Because the GamePad is so big, I thought it would feel really awkward and take a while to get used to, but I adapted to it quickly. However, it does start to make my right wrist ache after a few hours. And the battery life on the GamePad sucks, pointblank. I’m planning on picking up a Pro Controller when I get paid next week, though.
As for games, so far I have Nintendo Land, Super Mario Bros. U, and Darksiders II. Nintendo Land is mad fun. Some of the games are way better than others but overall it’s pretty damn solid. I dunno if it’s actually $60.00 solid, but it’s worth it if you’re buying the premium bundle system. NSMBU looks so great in HD. It’s just amazing to be playing a 2D Mario Bros. game in high definition. That aside, it’s probably even better than previous installments in the series. It feels like it’s more of its own game rather than a random throwback to old school Mario. The word maps will remind you Super Mario World, too, which is awesome. I mean, it’s no SMG 1 or 2, but it is a really good 2D Mario game. I’m enjoying the hell outta Darksiders II on WiiU. I should have played these games a long time ago. The atmosphere, colors, and some of the level designs remind me a lot of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Ah, the good ol’ Dreamcast days.

There's also a Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed demo on the eShop. Downloaded it to give it a whirl later, although the 360 demo left me rather cold (however I did enjoy the original).Quote:
