Nice, that series sounds similar to Brothers in Arms slash Frontline. I'll have to check it. If you're into 2D platformers in the Mario vein but faster I have a Pro Tip:

I read an absolutely obscure magazine today which spoke of a blue animal, most likely a hedgehog, who spins and also runs really fast within these 2D platforming environs. The games are for an ancient system by a developer who hasn't made consoles in forever. I'm going to check them out but my hopes aren't high considering how unknown the game is. Sonic 2 for Sega Genesis.

Here's another ProTip: Sonic 2 is also available for download on the three hundredth and sixtieth Xbox console, 360, which preceded the very first Xbox console, One.

Pac-Man is awesome. I doubt I will find someone that I like to use more then him.

There's also an item where a Galaga ship flies down and tractor beams nearby people then takes them off screen to their death.

Namco done well.

Too bad the GamePad is a piece of shit for controlling this game. Has Nintendo even released a game that did something useful with the GamePad this year? I can't think of any. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. all ignore it.

Thankfully, I was able to get the GameCube controller/adapter bunduru, so I'm all set.

Duck Hunt Dog is the only character that matters in that entire game.

Hey, I didn't know you can play demos of the classics under the masterpieces option. Smart way to get people to buy shit from the eshop. It would be cooler if the full games were on here, but it's a pretty neat way to show kids where all these characters come from.

Man, the menu system for this game is pretty terrible, because there's a ton of cool stuff buried like 5 or 6 layers deep.

The soundtrack is also insanely large. There's like 300+ songs in here. But for some reason, most of them are turned off by default. Do yourself a favor and go into "my music" to make sure all the songs are turned on at an even ratio.

Turning the ratios all even was one of the first things I did once I discovered My Music. I was also surprised of how many awesome songs are in this. MegaMan remixes!!
I'm really terrible at this, but all the nostalgia jammed into the game is incredible and keeps me playing to see and hear what's next. Megaman and Pacman totally fit in. The game really needs to keep bringing in all the old iconic characters. Simon Belmont DLC please!
