Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I enjoyed the old-school ones as well, even though pretty much every installment after the original got more and more retarded as they went on. But there's something to be said about late 60's/70's era sci-fi...it was really fucking weird, yet kinda cool and imaginative in a way that most modern flicks almost never are anymore.

The movie wasn't the complete turd that everyone expected it to be. Caesar's plot is entertaining, but the rest is conventional genre sci-fi that you must have seen many, many times before.

How's the monkeymayhem?

For such a silly little concept it takes itself too seriously. I watch and love all of the Pirates movies so it's not like I'm immune to preposterous movie concepts. I just like swashbucklin' and supernatural stuff. Whatevs. People can enjoy it just sayin' I don't get the serious nerdgasm for this.
