I wouldn't get too happy about that. You are a member of the working class. And you aren't a genius. Regardless of what some test you took in middle school says. You're just lucky you found a niche that they can't ship off to India and Mexicans don't want to do (yet).

And I'm not saying that to be a dick. I'm just saying it because it is true. Like how even as an engineer, some of my possible career paths have been shipped off. Shit happens.

I grew up working with my dad, either on the house he built or on construction jobs. Digging ditches, installing cabinets, 12 hour days out of town. And it's not an accident that I don't have kids right now. I'm not ready for kids. If you have kids before you're ready, that's your life decision to deal with.

Again, not my concern. I'm no genius, I don't even have a degree, but I've taught myself HTML, CSS, Photoshop, photography and writing enough that I could make a profession from any of those skills.

And anyone can do what I've done, and with more motivation make way more money with it. Technology, the Internet, has democratized economy the way it democratized music industry. And you don't have to live in the United States to take advantage. It won't be long before the average man in China and Romania has the same ability to make money as the average American. Difference is they'll actually do it because they're not getting helped by anyone but themselves.

I did all of this shit for my dad too, and worse. And in the summer, in Mississippi. It still doesn't compare to the worst labor jobs in the US.

That is just shit. China works together. They don't have any laissez faire horse shit. They do the opposite of what you say. Their communities work together to persue goals. They pool assets and build community owned factories. Many countries give their people free education. They don't work at the GAP and then go home and teach themselves how to use Excel and photoshop.
