It kind of looks like you are giving yourself as an example. But that would be hilarious and wrong. The idea that a single unmarried man with no kids that does design work going back to college for programming is the same as the thousands of blue collar workers that need to get re-educated and learn new skills is insane. So I know that isn't the point you're trying to make. lol, the idea. You had me going there man.


Good luck with programming classes. You'll have to hang in there for a while before they teach you anything that is going to be applicable to the things you mentioned. The first two years are going to mostly you holding your own dick. Learning the basics of programming. How to use loops and shit. The best thing you could do is treat programming like any other skill and get started now on teaching yourself.

And these companies are terrible, why? They have preyed upon people who willfully choose to be stupid despite having high functioning brains. The people who end up in the gutter over this deserve nothing better and probably far worse. The only mistake our government is making is trying to keep them going.

There's no reason to defend any human being that is educated and has an IQ over 100 (which is lower than the average in the US) who can't figure out how to drive the speed limit or follow basic traffic laws, who can't figure out how to read a menu at a restaurant, who can't understand that they need to actually teach their kids things, who can't use 2nd grade level math to figure out what an interest rate on a loan means, who don't understand there is more to the world than the town they live in, who can't be bothered to acknowledge the fact that their actions just MAY have an impact on other people, etc.

These are people that CHOOSE to be stupid. They probably have the ability to understand just about anything but yet choose to not even waste the time understanding basic fundamentals of human life. And you're defending this people? Why? So they can drastically decrease the quality of your life and that of everyone of your friends and family members? Would you defend somebody that raped your mother? That's basically the attitude that all of these "victims" are showing towards you, your family and your fellow human beings.

I think you're being a little black and white. I doubt the kinds of people involved are either really smart like diff, or complete morons like the ones you described.

It's no wonder our jobs are being outsourced. The people losing employment in key industries probably won't even know how to tie their shoes in 20 years.
