If nothing else was ever going to come out on either system, the One would have won. However, that's not the case, and its long term prospects don't look good without Dino Crisis. All MSFT has done is made a significantly less powerful system the same price as the one that has sold at least three-million more units.
edit: Let's also keep in mind that this thing didn't sell at $450 with Titanfall and Kinect packed in.
edit2: Actually, to take a step back and be fair, nothing has changed for me. The best exclusives will win. There's a reason I couldn't even pull the trigger on a $45 out of pocket PS4 bundle with an extra controller this week. As of this moment, if I got them both at launch, I would have probably spent a weekend with DR3 on X1 and an afternoon with Resogun on PS4... in six months. Maybe the most surprising thing should be that these things are selling at all. I guess that's the most compelling evidence of all how much too long the previous generation lasted.
Did anyone notice that Games with Gold are now no longer available when your Gold sub expires?
That's for the XONE titles, yeah? Or was it a blanket change?
It's worded vaguely on purpose, I'm sure.Quote:
We’re pleased to bring Games with Gold to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One in June. Members will have subscription-based access to free games ranging from top hits to breaking indie stars. The program will launch on Xbox One with “Max: The Curse of Brotherhood” and “Halo: Spartan Assault.” A single Gold membership will get you access to the free games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360.
I guess this is good news for me. Now I can get the system a little cheaper to play CoD with my friends in the fall.
Suicide pact.
I guess the two married guys can't call him out for poor decisions with very much credibility.
