Looks like those Nerf controllers.
Handle ends. Definitely the handle ends. The touch pad in black is necessary so you know where the boundary is. It may not be pretty but it's certainly practical. The handle ends are just ugly for no reason.

I think I bought a clear blue DS2 one time (before I got the matching JPS2), but all my other PS controllers have been the system color. I think I'll keep it that way.
I had one of those blue ones as well, they were rad.
I've stuck with matching ones since then though, it just looks cleaner.
