Well, Sony announced 1 million sold through in North America and MS announced 1 million sold through in 13 countries. Given that Sony just launched on Friday in Europe and some of the craziness seen out of that, I wouldn't be surprised with a 2:1 number.

Back during the summer there were rumors about yield issues with the xbone, and incidental reports on GAF and other places had stores receiving as much as 4:1 PS4 to xbones. I'm sure MS will sell out of whatever they can make at least until the end of the year, but the perception so far is that Sony is getting more units into stores than MS.

So up to 1.4m in NA. And of the 700k units in Europe, 250k was UK alone. Sony definitely focusing on getting units to the 360 nations first. Can't have as many people turning around from a bare shelf and potentially picking up an xbone in the countries they're most like to do it in. Germany'll just put its chin in its palms and wait.

Sold out until March in Australia...

It's a good start, but until a few months after Titanfall comes out I'm not taking any comparisons between Xbone and PS4 numbers seriously.

Yeah, you're kind of missing the obvious point- numbers don't care about opinion. This isn't about best version of a game or anything else. If you're comparing PS4 to Xbox One sales, your opinion of the method by which those numbers were attained is irrelevant. Sony has X% of the home console market, MS has Y%. A game in the library being better elsewhere isn't a consideration.

That point is very clear, but it's not the whole story. People who buy an Xbox One to watch football on it are a kin to the people that bought a Wii for Wii Sports. They're a ticky mark in market share, but they're unlikely to buy very many other games or certain types of games. While not in that same group, the people buying a console for Titanfall are pretty clearly in the CoD/Madden crowd as far as I am concerned and can't be allowed to determine the direction of anything.

I will bet that every single person on TNL who plans to buy an XBone, and has not yet done so, will be buying it for Titanfall.
